Groomal Preview {San Antonio Wedding Photographer}

What is a "Groomal", you ask? Think Bridal portraits that include the groom. Why take groomals? On your wedding day you basically have two times where you have the ability to take (formal or artistic) photographs with the groom. One of those times is if you choose to see him before the ceremony and the second opportunity is right after the ceremony (after you formal portraits with your family and extended family), before your reception. If you choose to only do photographs with the groom right after the ceremony that leaves at most one hour (usually less due to the formal portraits with family and extended family) to capture these images.
A "Groomal" photography session is a fantastic option and can be done either before or after your wedding. By taking photographs on another day it lends more creative freedom to your portraits and adds another opportunity to take that dress out for a spin. You can go to other locations that wouldn't have been feasible on your wedding day, and with the time constraints gone, you are more relaxed and carefree.
Groomals are an excellent way to capture some artistic, fun, and romantic photographs.

By the way, these fantastic portraits were taken at the San Antonio LDS Temple.
